Work hard, play hard is what we do at The Jitu. We had some fun times engaging with each other for team recreational activities at the Chaka Ranch Kiganjo, Nyeri County. It was a great exercise for all of us connecting, building trust, encouraging communication, and increasing collaboration to win team challenges. All of us had a fantastic time mastering new skills as well as experiencing the breathtaking views of Mt.Kenya and Aberdare Mountain Range. This was truly an unforgettable experience for the entire Jitu Team.

The Jitu is passionate about giving back to the community and our goal to have “giant” impact on people’s lives is to connect with those who need us the most in the local community. We’ve got an opportunity to visit Thunguma Children’s Home in Nyeri county, where our team spent time getting to know the children. The team provided some essential items to support the children’s daily activities. We spent time playing soccer, reading, and cooking. The children taught us how to make chapatis (flatbread with flakey layers). The Jitu had a great time visiting Thunguma Children’s Home.

The Jitu Appreciation Luncheon – March 20, 2021

It is hard to believe we have only been a company for a year and have been on the ground in Kenya for only six months. Getting from 3 to 20 employees in six months is exciting. The leadership of The Jitu wanted to show appreciation to the employees and individuals who have made that growth possible. To do that, we decided to have a luncheon and invite the employees and their families. It was great to see everyone and have the chance to thank them all for all the work to get The Jitu where it is today.
